CONNECT: The Knowledge Network Announces Vice President - Client Services

Thursday, September 9th, 2004

As you probably recall, in June we announced the ownership change at CONNECT and indicated we would be hiring a Vice-President of Client Services. I’m pleased to announce that Carolyn Weinig has joined our team.

Carolyn will be managing the sales, recruiting, and marketing functions at CONNECT, reporting directly to me. Carolyn will play an important role in continuing to develop future consulting opportunities for you. We are busy and the market continues to improve!

Carolyn has over 25 years of sales and management experience. The last 7 years, she was with Seagull Software. She spent 17 years with IBM in various sales and management roles, and gained valuable experience in the world of consulting at RSA Companies. Carolyn is currently serving as Denver Chapter coordinator of the national Call Center Networking Group (CCNG) and is a member of the Colorado Software and Internet Association (CSIA).

The transition in ownership has kept us very busy over the last several months. We have tried to maintain our external focus while internally redefining roles and responsibilities, hiring additional CONNECT staff, and integrating our processes. But if during the last few months you have experienced any “hiccups” in our normal operations, please accept my thanks for your patience.

The CONNECT Team is committed to providing high quality service to our clients and consultants. Therefore, on August 16th, we hired Sarah Jones to support us on billing, invoicing, contracts, and market research. Sarah is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado and has been a great asset in helping us to keep up with the accelerated market.

Karen Klein, our senior recruiter, will be returning from maternity leave on September 20. In case you didn’t hear – it’s a boy! Carlos Newman has been filling in for Karen while she’s been out and we’ll miss him when he leaves us on September 17.

At this point, we’ve extended Cindi Cordova through the end of October in a contract recruiting role. We’re hoping the market continues to be strong beyond that time!

We will mail you a current contact list for the CONNECT staff. Please don’t hesitate to call any one of us if you have any questions or concerns.

CONNECT: The Knowledge Network Reorganization

Thursday, June 3rd, 2004

We’d like to fill you in on some news at CONNECT: The Knowledge Network! We, Kelly Gilmore Dignan and Maureen Clarry, co-founded CONNECT and have been business partners since 1992. During the last twelve years, we are proud of the culture we’ve created that supports personal development and growth for our clients, staff, and consultants. In alignment with that value, Kelly has decided to pursue a new career outside of CONNECT and outside of the information technology services business. Effective July 31, she will be enjoying some time off and begin researching her next business venture. Effective June 1, Maureen has assumed full ownership of CONNECT and she is excited about the personal development opportunity that her role will provide for her.

As you may know, we teach a class on “partnership” and our definition is “a relationship in which we are jointly committed to the success of whatever process we are in”. We have been jointly committed to CONNECT’s success for the last twelve years and we are both still committed to CONNECT’s future success, even though we have identified different personal goals.

We are personally excited about these changes, and we anticipate that this transition will be invisible to you. There are no anticipated changes in the current staff, policies, or procedures and you should experience “business as usual”. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your continued support of CONNECT and of each of us as individuals.
